THE MANDATE OF OUR MISSION
Our mission is grounded in Titus 2:3-5. For at the heart of a biblical mentoring process is a mandate for more experienced women to first and foremost model good lifestyle choices and spiritual disciplines. Only then can they provide encouragement, guidance, and training to those who have not journeyed as far on the path of life. As homeschooling moms, we have an additional layer of complexity to our daily lives, which is where The Balanced Homeschooler comes in!
Likewise teach the older women to be reverent in the way they live, not to be slanderers or addicted to much wine, but to teach what is good. Then they can urge the younger women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled and pure, to be busy at home, to be kind, and to be subject to their husbands, so that no one will malign the word of God." - Titus 2 3:5
GETTING STARTED WITH YOUR TBH MENTOR, CAROL GARY
In the eighteen-plus years that I have homeschooled our sons, I have been asked countless times by many friends and acquaintances for advice and input on how we practically handle a variety of issues related to home education and household management. Out of my passion to help other homeschoolers find joy and success in their personal journey, The Balanced Homeschooler mentoring program was born!
To get started, please review TBH Service Cycle below. More than just a single product, The Balanced Homeschooler mentoring program is a designed on the concept of levels so that moms can engage in the number of steps that suits their needs and seasons. These levels of engagement are flexible and can be modified over time based on your changing needs and goals. The first three noted in the blue boxes are considered "Core Levels" and are recommended for all moms to be experienced in order, regardless of where they are in their season of homeschooling. The last three levels noted in gray boxes are "Optional Levels" that enable moms to take their journey even further, either on a personal or a leadership level. These levels can be done at anytime in any order. So let's get started with level one, my mentoring program that will help you start or reboot your homeschooling journey.
TBH REVIEW BY "THE OLD SCHOOLHOUSE"
--Product review by Melanie Reynolds, The Old Schoolhouse® Magazine, LLC, May, 2016
In most professions, a new employee receives some sort of training for the job he or she is about to begin. However, for homeschooling moms, this preparation is usually “on the job” training! We do learn so much as we go. But what if you had a program that you could attend before you began to homeschool, or later at any time during your homeschooling career, which took you through a complete mentoring program that prepared you for a life of homeschooling, or helped you to refine and improve the one you’re already living?
Most of us wish we’d had this wonderful opportunity. And although I have come to THE BALANCED HOMESCHOOLER (subtitled “Helping Moms Create Their Successful Homeschool Household Through Biblical Personal Mentoring”) rather late in my homeschooling career, I can attest that this program is just what homeschool moms need to equip, encourage, and enable them to create, or improve, an effective and exceptional homeschool life with their own families.
INTRODUCING THE BALANCED HIGH SCHOOLER!

This tool can be used as a complement to The Balanced Homeschooler mentoring program or as a standalone resource.

The Balanced High Schooler will take you on a forty-day journey with your homeschooled teen that is unlike anything you have experienced in your relationship together thus far. Not only will parents and teens alike be inspired to persevere through the high school season with confidence, but the clarity that will arise through this process of discovery-based decisions and transparent communications will serve to strengthen adults and teens alike in their personal vision, spiritual growth, academic priorities, and future goals. Using a uniquely designed tool called the “Grid”, families will work through a series of efforts with their teen that will identify their essential personal characteristics, augment their spiritual testimony, plan their core classes & strategic electives, pinpoint life skills they must acquire, and work through other essential planning and communication details of their journey towards college or other post high school destinations. It is truly an experience that will address every aspect of this final homeschooling season while also reminding us all that we are homeschooling an entire person and not just transferring academic knowledge. Available in either a Kindle or paperback format from Amazon!
