Welcome From the Author
Welcome new and prospective homeschooling moms!
Over the past sixteen years that I have homeschooled our boys, I have been asked countless times by many friends and acquaintances for advice and input on how we practically handle a variety of issues related to home education and running our household. While I have done my best during this time to be helpful and available, I have often thought that I would love to one day put together a manual that would improve my ability to serve and reach these moms and their families in a more efficient and significant way.
That day arrived in the summer of 2010 and I am thrilled to share with you this mentoring program called The Balanced Homeschooler.
Not only does this tool help me to come alongside all of those homeschooling moms that I would like to interact with in a more practical and personal way, but it also provides a mechanism to encourage other veteran moms to mentor and support the homeschoolers in their life who are up-and-coming.
Thank you for joining me and my family in the journey. Join the nearly 70 moms who have enjoyed this program since 2010 and let’s get started!
HEAR, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one.
LOVE the LORD your God with all your HEART and with all your SOUL and with all your STRENGTH.
These commandments that I give you today are to BE UPON your hearts.
IMPRESS them on your children.
TALK about them WHEN YOU SIT at home and when you WALK along the road, when you LIE DOWN and when you GET UP.
TIE THEM as symbols on your hands and BIND THEM on your foreheads. WRITE THEM on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates.
The Balanced Homeschooler mentoring program applies Socratic principles to help new AND veteran homeschooling moms understand, balance, and enjoy the priorities of homeschooling and home life. Structured into 10 chapters, 500+ pages, 26 reproducible forms, and citing hundreds of references and resource recommendations, it is best used within either a one-on-one or group setting. It is essentially a "Homeschooling / Home Life 101 Course" that is ...

Respecting Copyrights: The "Forgotten C"

In my role as a mentor in the homeschooling community, I have observed an increase in recent years of homeschooling families and leaders who underestimate the importance of respecting copyright laws. So, while it may be a delicate subject for some, addressing it in a number of informative venues, such as blogs, articles, and homeschool meetings, is a great way MORE>>
